» Start of operations in Amecameca
In 2003, after the imposition of the Special Tax on Products and Services (IEPS) on beverages that use a sweetener other than sugar, we took on the task of meeting the needs of our customers and installed the first plant production of liquid sugar (Sucroliq ®), directly replacing the consumption of high fructose corn (HFCS).
Subsequently, with the imposition still gone, we managed to remain in the market, consolidating ourselves with our technological developments as the only alternative in Mexico that combines the highest quality standards in liquid sugar at a very competitive price.
» Founding of Sucroliq
In 2009 we constituted the first company of the Sucroliq group, dedicated to the refining of liquid sugar and the development of technology for the same purpose, with the participation of Coprobamex, the National Union of Cane Producers (CNPR) and the Rural Sector Capitalization and Investment Fund (FOCIR) through the Capital Investment Fund in Agribusiness (FICA).

n the creation process, we carried out various studies and analyses, several of them carried out jointly with the Center for Research and Assistance in Technology and Design of the State of Jalisco, A.C. (CIATEJ); derived from them, the technology developed has the capacity to convert raw sugar into refined liquid sucrose. The simplicity in the use of the system and its flexibility allows us to manufacture products tailored to the needs of our customers. Delivering a raw material ready to be incorporated directly into their production lines and under the most rigorous quality standards worldwide..
» Start of Operations in the Apodaca Plant
Grupo Sucroliq is the largest producer of liquid sugar in Mexico and we have the patent to use raw sugar in our process and produce a syrup of the same quality as those obtained based on refined sugar. Likewise, we have world-class clients, including soft drink, cereal and dairy brands, which has made us cross borders and have our sights set on different countries, based on our technological strength and the success of commercial relations with large companies such as: Danone, Kellogg, Nestlé, PepsiCo and Bimbo, among others.

Sucroliq's corporate offices are currently located in Mexico City and we have 4 plants for refining liquid sugar with a total production capacity of 480,000 MT per year. The plants are located in Amecameca, State of Mexico; Monterrey, Nuevo Leon; Irapuato, Guanajuato; and, the most recent in Mexicali, Baja California, with which we started operations in 2022. All our plants have all the municipal, state, federal and even international permits to operate and be part of the production chain of our clients.
