At Sucroliq we are committed to using energy in an efficient, profitable and environmentally responsible manner.

The Water, Energy and Environment Committee is a multidisciplinary team whose mission is to develop and implement projects for the quantization and reduction of the carbon footprint through the continuous improvement of our processes.

WE HAVE TWO MAIN OBJECTIVES:

To be recognized as international leaders in clean technologies in sugar refining by 2027.

To reduce by 50% the carbon footprint derived from our processes by 2030.

WHAT STEPS ARE WE TAKING?

  1. Our plants have a “fresh water” recovery system to reduce water and sugar consumption.
  2. We installed innovative technology to recover and treat 90% of our water consumption from the refining process.
  3. We made the inventory of GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions, taking into account international standards and applicable national regulatory provisions on the matter (General Law on Climate Change and National Registry of Emissions).
  4. We manage projects to mitigate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions at our plants.
  5. We align our company with the UN sustainable development goals.
